Facility Design – Plan Reviews

LSK offers design services including kitchen drawings, spec sheets, and hood engineering for construction. We do not provide stamped architectural drawings for permits– we can recommend licensed architects if you’re looking for recommendations.

We know what you need to get the job done in a food facility, and we speak Health Department. Use us a little, or a lot– you define our scope to fit your needs. We can facilitate Health Department reviews and approvals as required. We can recommend trusted professionals if you need assistance selecting project team members.

Construction Management

LSK can fulfill role of Owner’s Representative, Project Manager, or Advisor. Construction services are customized for each project. It can begin from start of design, construction, and follow-through to final licensing inspections, even beginning operations. Budget tracking, timeline management, contract review and negotiation, value engineering, equipment purchase & installation are more examples.

Prep for License Inspection

LSK routinely preps businesses in advance of final inspections for business licenses or required permits. Recommend 2 days in advance of inspection, so there’s time for final corrections before inspection.

Many health depts no longer conduct plan reviews before you start construction. Usually 90-minute session is adequate for small production facilities or restaurants. If you’re unsure, schedule an intro call at no charge to find out.

Prep for Inspection


Typically 2-3 hours on site with owners and contractors. User-friendly alerts on the site make it easy to see when your place is ready. Advance review of floor plan, and follow-up to double check any specific codes that may be in question. You’ll get an email followup if needed with links to resources, and list of corrections to use moving forward.
