The Chicago Rarities Orchard Project is working to establish a community orchard of rare heirloom fruit trees on public land just south of the Logan Square Monument.

CROP is already starting trees as cuttings in little nooks and crannies around the neighborhood…it takes years before a tree can be placed in the ground here and grow successfully.  If you are interested in learning more, you can check out the CROP website, and sign its online petition showing your support.
