Finally! Today we successfully submitted our final documentation for our LEED construction credits. This process began over two years ago. This photo of our wall of doors is one of the most recognizable sustainable features of our building. All rescued from landfill, they are a stunning example of ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.’
This final LEED submission means we are about two months away from completing the process. Our credits will be reviewed over the next month, and we will address any requests for clarification or appeal any rulings we feel are in error. Then we’ll be announcing our final certification determination. Thank you to everyone who has worked so tirelessly on our LEED certification. The MVP award goes to Brett Neuberg of Chas. Bender, our general contractor. This was Brett’s first LEED project, and we would not be looking at a LEED Gold rating without his painstaking attention to detail. Right alongside Brett is Jean Dufresne of SPACE Architects+Planners, and the staff of dbHMS. Thanks everyone!
